AI Usage Policy
Rules for responsible use of Barrister24 AI drafting, researched drafting, consultation AI, summaries, document review, and legal workbench outputs.
Assistive nature
Barrister24 AI features assist with drafting, summarization, research organization, issue spotting, evidence checklists, hearing preparation, order impact notes, and internal legal work management. AI output is not final legal advice and is not a substitute for advocate or legal-team judgment.
Human review required
- Every AI-generated notice, reply, petition, application, contract, memo, email, summary, or strategy note must be reviewed by an authorized legal professional before use.
- Users must verify facts, party names, dates, monetary values, statutes, case-law references, limitation periods, jurisdiction, exhibits, and filing requirements.
- No AI output should be sent, filed, published, or relied on where it contains unverified facts or unresolved legal uncertainty.
Researched drafts
Researched drafts may use available matter facts, uploaded documents, court history, court orders, statutes, research context, and approved templates. They remain limited by source availability, extraction quality, vendor availability, and model limitations.
Prohibited use
- Do not use AI to fabricate evidence, impersonate a lawyer, create deceptive filings, conceal material facts, harass parties, or bypass professional obligations.
- Do not input data that the user is not authorized to process or share.
- Do not represent AI output as guaranteed, official, court-approved, or professionally reviewed unless that review actually occurred.
Logging and versioning
AI draft generation, edits, exports, and approvals may be logged for auditability, security, billing, quality review, and dispute handling.
