Retention principles
Barrister24 retains personal and operational data only for as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, dispute handling, auditability, fraud prevention, tax compliance, regulatory requirements, and legal defense.
Retention examples
- Account and onboarding records may be retained through the active account lifecycle and a post-closure review window.
- Invoices, payout, tax, and ledger data may be retained for statutory accounting and audit purposes.
- Security logs are retained in line with operational security needs and applicable CERT-In directions.
Deletion after expiry
When the retention purpose expires, data is deleted, anonymized, or archived under restricted access according to system and legal requirements.
